Science Fair took place October 24, 2021- Winners were first place: Tessa and Michael ; Second Place Rachel ; Third Place Matthew.
Students attended classes face-to face in person all of 2020-2021. COVID-19 could not stop our students from learning about Jesus.
A New Security System was installed August 2020 in order to secure our school.
New Computers were purchased August 2019 so that students have access to the high speed internet available at Floral Crest School.
January 27-28, 2019 Students went to Bass Memorial Academy for Education Day Fair. Students compete for blue ribbons for first prize, red ribbons for second and white ribbon for third. Thirteen schools throughout the Gulf States Conference come with students from grades 5th-9th. Floral Crest School did very well. Praise the Lord!

Science Grand Prize- Kaden for his project on Water Purification;
Spelling Bee first place- Mayson;
Geography Bee contestants- Nasir, Rebecca, Jessica, Waycros, Amber.: Amber won third and Rebecca won first in Geography Bee.

Floral Crest School, in partnership with Southern Adventist University’s Partners For Eternity (PFE) grant program, has the opportunity to offer unique tuition assistance to our students. Through this service-oriented scholarship program, our participating students are paired with elderly adults in our community in a mutually-beneficial way.
Students in the PFE program, along with their parents, bring joy to the lives of senior citizens through fun activities such as visiting, reading, and playing games. When appropriate, they may also provide light housework. As the young people build generational bridges and learn the value of service, they also benefit from the wisdom and mentorship of the older adults. In the process, their time together helps finance the student’s Christian education.
In April 2017 students and parents took a trip to Nashville TN for a SDA Church history trip. They also learned about the capital of TN and visited several museums.
Students once again participated in the NGB in January 2017 and Morgan took the state semi-finalist test. She qualified again to compete in state of AL contest. Congrats Morgan two years in a row.
Students participated in 2016 National Geography Bee in January. Our winner took an online geography test to try to qualify to compete in the Alabama State competition. She qualified as a Semifinalist and will go to Birmingham for the Bee on April 1, 2016.
Floral Crest received $2,600 worth of library books free. We were selected to receive these books as a generous donation from Gulf States Conference. Praise the Lord!
Our school along with 14 chaperones (parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles) took a trip to Mobile AL and Pensecola FL April 19-22, 2015. Check out the photos soon on our facebook page. We went to see the USS Alabama (ship) the Explorium, the Dauphine Island Sea Lab, the Blue Angels practice at the National Naval aviation Museum and much more.
Grades 5-8 went in January 2015 to compete in an Education Day Fair at Bass Memorial Academy and won 2 grand prizes in Math and Spelling, one first place in Spelling and one third place in art. We participated in gymnastic workshop and a choir performance.
Grades 5-8 in January 2014 competed in an Education Day Fair at Bass Memorial Academy and won 12 ribbons: 5 first place ribbons in Science and Bible, 2 second place ribbons and 5 third place ribbons. Congratulations students. New improvements since August 2013
Library cataloged with bar codes and put on the shelf using the Dewey Decimal system. Surpass Software for electronic library book checkout with scanner. New fire extinguishers and new exit lights, new lockers, new cabinets, new security system, new Galaxy Tablet by Samsung for students, and New Promethean interactive Boards in classrooms.
In July 2014, we replaced the boy's bathroom wall panels with brand new ones.
